Custom Bra Fitting

The health benefits of a proper fitting bra are numerous. When we fit a bra, we take a holistic approach. We first look at the back width then the cup depth. We do not use a tape measure as they can not account for the volume of breast tissue one has. Improper wear of wires is one way benign cysts are formed. The constant pressure of wire against soft tissue can cause hardening as your breast size fluctuates. The wire should lay flat against the rib cage. Your band should be even with or lower than your bust line. If the band is to big it will shift onto delicate breast tissue. Therefore the band should fit firm enough that when your arms go up and down your bra stays stationary.

A poorly fitting underwired bra can cause hardened cells or mastitis, clogged milk ducts. We can fit you according to how far along you are so that you get the most value for your money.

Augmentation/Reduction

Making the choice to have major breast surgery is a difficult one. At LiviRae we can help you find the right size for your body type. Many people feel they need a reduction when actually they just need a good fitting bra. If you think you area a B you are probably a D. If you think you are a D you are most likely a G. After reduction it is most important to be fitted. Even though you decrease the volume of your bust, the width remains. The big misconception about augmentation is that you should never wear underwire. This is not TRUE! The underwire should never touch your implant if fitted properly. Underwire holds the shape of your breast and can be beneficial to the positioning of the breast in the long term. We also have post surgery compression garments. We also work closely with several plastic surgeons in the area and have referrals upon request. In our experience we have seen some of the best and some of the worst jobs and are able to help you with any questions that you may have. We are very open and make you feel at ease. No question is ever stupid, when it comes to your health. We can not replace the knowledge of your doctor, but sometimes we can put your mind at ease with minor questions or concerns you may have. Alterations

Alterations is one service that we offer at LiviRae. No we do not make bras as of yet, but we do however alter bras to get you that perfect fit. Sometimes we are smaller than a 32 and need to alter the back of the bra to achieve a fit the is solid and will not move on the body. Or if you are very full busted and want a smooth cup bra, it is necessary to go up in the band to get a larger cup and then take the band down to fit your back size. Whatever the case may be we can handle it. We also have a lady who works on site with us and is wonderful at any type of alteration. For a nominal fee she can help you with dresses, pants, shirts etc.
